The Loss of Wisdom | The Acquisition of Space
It is quite often you might hear the complaints of another while they are experienceing pain and discomfort from impacted wisdom teeth. However, it may always be a mystery to anyone but the experiencee how much pain is actaully being felt.
I submit this picture I took of my #1 tooth, or top-right-wisdom tooth. It took nearly three hours to remove as it was in sideways and had not broken past the gums yet. I would have never errupted the denitst told me. My Dentist also said "This root should belong to a Bull" mentioning
that its one of largest impacted teeth that he has removed in his ten years of dentistry.
Had I not taken the appropriate steps , eventually , damage would have occured to surrounding teeth, causing even more pain, and cavaties.

Eddie, sorry to disappoint, but unless there was pathology associated with the unerupted tooth it is unlikely that it ever would have caused other problems. Upper impacted third molars do you cause problems. Your dentist misinformed you. You apparently experienced pain you did not need to experience. Sorry. How do I know, I am boarded in Oral Medicine with over 15 years as an attending at a pain clinic in Washington State and 15 years as clinical assistant professor in the Department of Oral Medicine. Of course I cannot legally offer advice...I am just commenting on you picture.....Regards.
