Chalcantite crystal growing

Here is a Chalcantite crystal in growth under polarized light ( crossed filters ).

Growing crystals shows interference colors, in polarized light, that changes during the growth. This method of observation allow us to see the complex energy fluctuations of crystallising minerals, which cannot be seen in classical lighting.
