Winter hike on the heathland (9)
Two weeks ago we had a few chilly but dry winterdays with plenty of sunshine.
Ideal to make a winter hike on the ‘Kalmthoutse Heide’, even without snow.
The ‘Kalmthoutse Heide’ is one of the greatest National Parks of Belgium with lots of fens, heathland and vast forests.
My first shot shows one of the many heather fens, in the morning still half-frozen by the night frost.
Those fens are very typical for this unique biotope as a real source of blissful silence and heavenly peace.

Noch hat die Wasseroberfläche eine Haut und das lässt auf Kälte schließen! Die Farben sind großartig und auch das Licht! Der herrlich blaue Himmel scheint sich auf der Eisfläche widerzuspiegeln....
