Wild Dogs Line-up

There are an estimated 6 600 (660 packs) free-ranging African wild dogs Lycaon pictus left in Africa (IUCN 2012). Wild dogs are the rarest carnivore in South Africa with an estimated population of less than 450 individuals.

the savanna brat pack! ; ) didn't know they were this rare! so this is a very lucky capture! i'm fascinated with the unusual looks, the huge ears and bushy tails – like no other mammal i've seen before, except maybe the hyena, whose greatest (and probably only ; )) fan i am. beautifully rendered here, marissa. you really managed to bring out the essence of their character! greetings, sabine.
