Dragon or Damselfly? by Jaebea

Dragon or Damselfly?

I've always called them dragonflies but here in FC I have learnt there are also damselflies and I'm not sure of the difference.

Damsel flies are usually much smaller than Dragon flies. This looks to me to be a dragon fly and an excellent photo of one. Very nice detail and angle on the shot to get the whole body in focus. -archie

Wow! Bravo I must say! The colors of the dragon fly are great and impressive. Great focus and composition.

It is a dragonfly they rest with the wings open like this a damselfly closes them down its back.
