Excellent composition. Leo do you know i have one of those light in Madeira and still working. That was given to my by an old lady friend of mine and it belong to her mother.Maybe i do some shots next mont when im there.
Great image of the kerosene lamp....in the mountians where I was born, we did our school lessons at home in the winter time, and some times it was with lamps like this, they used what they called coal-oil in them, and mum did not like the smell of the wick when they were blown out, so she would make dad take them out on the porch put them out, then bring them back in the house.....thanks for the memories.....best wishes, den
your still life reactivates memories of my first years in greece.. living an an isand (many years ago) that had electricty only for the shops on the waterfront ... we lighted and headed with kerosene laps and stoves.... (not to forget candles)

Beautiful lighting and the simplicity of the set-up is excellent, the tones give it an 'olden day' look :))

Interesting study of the lamp and the bottle.

lovely composition! i like the texture on the glass... very subtle and it works nicely with the rough lamp base and the smoothness of the wall. very interesting elements in this warm work that seems at first to be so simple!! great work!
cheers,
