I would like to know the opinion of the viewer on this one:
IF YOU ARE INTRESTED IN THE STORY READ MY COMMENT BELOW

CHEERS!!!
super!!
very sensitive photo!
A foto speaks for itself, doesn´t need a title when it is good, and it is good.
Hi all,
thank you for your nice remarks. I guess this one is better than the other. I also like this more because the expression of the model is better, there is more feeling. But the crop of the other is more complete (you can see the boot). So that is the reason i couldn't decide.
Please comment and tell me what you think! Advice and critisism is very appreciated!

Hi Ayashe,
First, let me say that I think this image, portrays the girls emotions, alot better than the other image, because by putting her fingers in her mouth, it shows that she is more nervous about what she intends to do with herself. ( Position of the hand on different parts of the body, convey different emotions. Say you're taking an exam, if the pencil you're holding is pressed against your cheek, it shows that you're thinking about the answer in a calm manner, but if you place the pencil in your mouth, and start chewing on it, it shows that you are alot more nervous trying to think about the correct answer. )
This is a powerful image, it tells a story, and different viewers will interpret the meaning in different ways.
I personally think, the girl is NOT looking for exitement, but rather is thinking about commiting suicide by drowning.
What makes me think this, is that she is right on the edge of the platform, fully dressed, and wearing high boots, her fingers are in her mouth, she is nervous, and in deep thought, and her eyes are closed, which can affect her balance. Something, or someone, set off the pressure cooker in her head, and she's now looking for a way out, of a stressful situation, a means of escape, possibly permanent, and all she has to do now, is lean over....

Everyone: thank you very much for your comment.
Hi Ray,
Thanks for your opinion, I also think in this photo she expresses more sadness and stress, that's why i have another title for this one, on the other photo she looks more bored, hence the title.
I first wanted to call this one pre-mortal thoughts, but i found that to easy and obvious with no depth.
I choose for POST MODERN THOUGHTS, because i think her feeling has a direct link to our modern society. Her thoughts result of our modern lives and is against it! Just like the term its critisizing modernism...
She doesn't look hart broken, she doesn't look in morning, it is not only sadness or whatever...
It's deeper, its stress, remorse, lonesome, tired... it is an edgy feeling and that is made stronger by beeing literally on the egde. She already looks drowened.
In our modern society we may have more freedom and access to anything and anywhere we want, but we also miss the rigid family, social structures, vast relationships. We have so many responsibilities. From being totally taken care of at the age of 17 we are mostly left alone with all the responsebilities at 18:
Studying, having a social life, deciding on career for life with so much to choose from, having a hobby, dieting to be slim, sports to look fit, working aside, cooking, cleaning, working on the house, paying all the bills (and it is so much: study, rent, food, clothing, gas, houseequipment, electic, internet, hobby, sport, health, other insurance like house, travel, health, taxes, make up, and i can go on for ages).
We have to look good, make money, be social, have a career, work on a relationship and try to keep it exciting and full of love, be healthy, be good, be strong, be modern, be individual but still fit everywhere, never agressive, be polite, be sofisticated, talk well, be smart, be organised, be on time, better the world, better ourselves, think of the environment, think of poor people (maybe donate even), never disobey the law (which is so difficult with all the rules and obligations, how many tickets would you get if were fined every time you drove to fast/ walked throught a red light/didnt bring your id, didn't pay full for public transportation, etc...)
And we have less to hang on to, less social structure. It al depends on yourself, if you have nobody then everyone will say it is your own fault. You make your life, you should be strong and take care of yourself, in any situation you have only yourself to blame, or yourself to get out of it!
There is no more god, to lean on, to blame, to seek comfort, so talk to... You can't think well this is just a test of god to make me strong and wise, he has a purpose, he loves me. NO, if nobody loves you, then nobody loves you! They don't love you because of yourself!
Sometimes this can push you to the edge, sometime you seek the egde, sometimes you just want to escape this histeria...
Well,
this was my own thought...
So wanderful and intense.

Ayashe, welcome to the real world......
one sees she's thinking, what she's thinking about is of no importance, every viewer of the photo has his own answer, which makes the photo succeded it's goal !!!
greetz,
Hi Ayashe,
I've read your comment, and I agree with much of it's content.
I think the title should be changed to:
"LIVING LIFE ON THE EDGE", because the title "POST MODERN THOUGHTS", imo doesn't fit the image. She could also be thinking "Pre Historic Thoughts", there is no way of telling one, from the other, as you look at her. By using a title that says her life is on the edge, it steers the viewer's mind toward that direction, and than he, or she, will contemplate what the girl will do next.
I am also posting one of my images, below, about "Life On The Edge". Although you do not actually see the person sitting at the table, by viewing the various props, on the table, the viewer gets the message that I want to convey.
