Mani wall in Mustang town
Mani walls are walls made of stone carved with mantras. The main purpose of these mani walls is to ask the gods to look after travelers and to protect settlements.This mani wall is like the good farewell for us for the track back to the starting point Jomsom.
The slide photo is scanned by a Nikon CoolScan 5000 ED from Kodachrome 50.

ich muss dazu fügen, lieber Georg, dass auch die klare Luft in 2750 Metern Höhe die idealen Bedingungen für solche Fotos schaffen. Eine so klare Luft hat man selten woanders (aber doch in Tibet). LG WolfgangGeorg Mahkorn 18/11/2012 14:57
