you are right, Alfred. Batanes is found in the northernmost part of the Philippines. It is closer to Taiwan than Manila. :) It has four seasons, while the rest of the country only has two. Very Magical!

the Batanes Islands are really in the north, Taiwan is not so far away. Maybe the climatic is of subtropical influence. And I agree, it looks more than Scotland or Ireland than the Philippines.

I was also in awe when I saw the place. so different from the rest of the country.

the topography (grassy and hilly) is like this because it is often visited by typhoons. i think. as a result, they only plant root crops.

I can´t belive that this is on the Philippines.
At look like Ireland or Scotland. Where are the tree´s ?
