Duisburg - Industrial Landscape #1
The "Ruhr" area in Germany was in the past the heart of the heavy industries surrounding mines and iron and steel production. This year is celebrating the "RUHR.2010 - European Capital of Culture". So I made a trip to Duisburg and visited the Industrial Landscape Park including the heritage of an iron production site closed 1985. Here are my impressions.....hope you enjoy them! This is one of the blast furmaces.

yes, the great town of Essen, my hometown, in special isthe capital. and the complete "Ruhr-Revier" is included.
Thyssen and Krupp go together since some times and the
result is hopeful for the future...
very fine taken this segment of a "Beschickungsanlage" in
classic style, top builded format and excellent bw. however.
