I really like the textures and color of the grassy area against the blue cloud filled sky. It comes together very well. The one thing that I find distracting are the birds, they are too far away to add to the image and look like little black dust specks for the most part.
If you are into PS it would look better removed, but if you are a person that only believes in tweaking an image slightly with PS then they should stay.

Great picture.
It has quite the dramatic look due to the sharpness in the grass(sea oats) up front.
