I've been taking pictures for several years, and currently use a Nikon Digital SLR (D70). Some of the photos I will be posting were taken with Minolta and Pentax 35mm SLRs, but now that I have a digital, I feel much less restricted in my shooting. Many of my photographs are taken to be used as resource material for oil paintings. Some of my best photographs were accidents. One of the best photos I ever took came out as well as it did because I had no idea what I was doing. So in that sense, photography is an adventure.
Then again, I've discovered that growth in photography - in any artistic discipline - can be related to any form of personal growth, a change in priorities, a new perspective. Whatever technical expertise I might acquire, it is seeing things in a new way that makes photography an adventure.
