Hi everyone... thanks for welcoming me to FC!
I'm Daren from Dumbarton in Scotland.
I was born in Glasgow in 1972, and have my Grandfather to thank for my name... he was from Bydgoszcz, Poland. I also have him to thank for my interest in photography. As a young boy I was always interested in the old Zenit's he had.. but my serious interest in photography began in 2000.
My first camera was a Nikon FM...
I now use a Nikon D70 & a D70s, with a selection of lenses. I still love old classic cameras & have a small collection.
In recent years I have photographed Weddings & Portraits around Loch Lomond & Dumbarton, although my photography has taken me all over the UK.
I enjoy everything about photography & enjoy taking Landscapes, Sport, Weddings... but when it's really wet here in Scotland... (most of the time)
I enjoy photographing some Portraits indoors & some still lifes.

Ich bin Daren aus Dumbarton in Schottland.
Ich wurde 1972 in Glasgow geboren und habe meinem Grossvater fuer meinen Namen zu danken - er kam aus Bydgoszcz, Polen. Ich verdanke ihm ebenfalls mein Interesse in Fotografie. Als kleiner Junge war ich immer fasziniert von den alten Zenits, die er hatte - doch mein ernsthaftes Interesse in Fotografie begann im Jahr 2000.
Meine erste Kamera war eine Nikon FM.
Mittlerweile benutzte ich eine Nikon D70 und eine D70s mit einer Auswahl verschiedener Objektive. Ich liebe auch die alten Klassiker immer noch und besitze eine kleine Sammlung.
In den letzten Jahren habe ich Hochzeiten und Portraits in und um Dumbarton und Loch Lomond fotografiert, obwohl meine Fotografie mich bereits durch ganz Grossbritannien fuehrte.
Mir macht alles Spass, was mit Fotografie zu tun hat, und am liebsten fotografiere ich Landschaften, Sport und Hochzeiten - wenn es jedoch richtig nass wird in Schottland (also die meiste Zeit), fotografiere ich auch gerne Portraits und Stillleben.
Hoffentlich gefallen Euch meine Fotos - ich beantworte gerne alle Fragen, die Ihr dazu habt.

Many thanks for your comments on my Knockhill Racing photo. It was a race day organised by the Kirkcaldy Motorcycle Racing Club and the photo was of a friend, Craig from Inverness who was racing that day in the 'Forgotten Era' class. Regards Graham

yes you have right...the boy on the left ist not so sharp as his friend...
i think it was the f2.8 :/
and no ps...a little bit more contrast and sharpness in corel..thats it :D
