hi pat! great to hear from you... thanks for your comment on my cat pic! it's another screwed-up exposure thing that i thought might be fun to play with, so it's all blur basically no alterations except a little light/levels adjusment. i can pull up the techs on it...ok: iso 400, f5,
.3 sec. 55mm, no flash. nothin' fancy, just grabbed the cam and shot (like always... :-D ). vern moved so didn't even need to pan. i think he was hopping off my lap onto the back of the couch. : )) so that's 'felinE.......'
talk soon,
s

Hi Pat, thanks for the visit, and the comments...this little lake is currently being over fished because a few guys went out there and caought some big black bass, 10 to 12lbs...big for this area....now they are down there everyday...it is real close, and used to be secluded, so I went there a lot, but I have only been about three times this year...well, hope you are doing better, and about ready for some fishing too...best wishes, den
Thank you Pat!
Thanks for taking the time to vote for this image...
I am glad to say that it made the gallery - my first one.
Cheers, Claire

Wow! what a great experience you had made: alone in the canyon!!!! It's also my dream... mabye a day...a nature so powerful so silent... Antelope canyon is a pure and soft art that you had very well captured!
Bye
Grazia
Pat, thank you for your visit and comments.
thanks pat...'alone between acts.' glad you could feel it, too. it was unearthed from the depths of my ext. hard drive the other day...from one of my first theatre shoots. the actress is suzy; she rocks!! a true class act and only a junior in high school...excellent for her! there are two more wonderfully frustrated expressions of hers on deck.
cheers,
sarah k
CONGRATULATIONS PAT!!!! i love your new gallery image...just awesome! yay. : )

sarah k

Hi Pat! Thanks for the beautiful words again!
"I was referring to the "artificial" light...just the light."
My bad, I misunderstanded, sorry!
Bye!
Thank you very much for your visit and comment of my pictures. From all of them I like this one
Marco, I was referring to the "artificial" light.
Pat
Well, 'cause they are stars! I know it kinda give the 'artificial' sensation, but it's all natural, I only shooted the photo and nothing else!
Edit:
Sorry, I forgot to thank you for all your comments, thanks a lot!
thanks, if but a little belated!
sk
Thanks Pat, i liked your comment, really! See you!
pat,
thank you very much for your comment on 'otherWhere' and for stopping by and looking through my images. it was shot at a club called the Seahorse Inn in my hometown...lots of kitschy and wonderful nautical stuff and sparkly turquoise naugahyde booths to boot! it's been there for as long as i can remember and i've been known to sing a little karaoke there once in a great while. very fun place!!
cheers,
sarah k
Hey Pat, I understand where you're coming from that with certain 'creative' and 'artistic' photographs sharpness is not key. But I still strongly feel that anytime you are dealing with an extreme close up/ macro shot, as in the case of "atopos," there has to be some sharpness on the subject otherwise it just looks like an unfocused photograph, like a mistake. Even if you are using a selective focusing technique there still has to be a point in clear focus otherwise its just a blurry photo, and "atopos," while not completely blurry, just was not well focused, like someone pushing in too far with their lens. Anyway, just thought I'd drop my note on that whole deal.
Mark.
Hi there,
Well, shelties are amazing, fun to hear that you have one =)

Hallo Pat.. :)
In this work I have used photographic images on many levels, brushes, clon, rubber ... everything vanished to the perfection .... And the result is what you see.
Photoshop use Io and other graphic programs.

Hi Pat,
thanks for your comments, do a lot of seearching on the net, buy a lot of books, talk to local people. That's how I try to find new interesting place. Since my first visit to the US(Florida;-)) ) i fell in love with your country. It has so much to offer. The hoodoods you tried to find are called the wahweap hoodoos and can be found just northwest of Page, Az.
Thanks again

Hi Pat,
The reason I was low is that when I went out on the boat docks to get a little closer, they all started to fly off, so, I laid down on the dock to take a couple of fast shot before these two took flight...I had my 70-220mm lens with the 2x extender, so I was shooting a 400mm focal length...best regards, den
Thanks Pat !
