My then boyfriend - now husband of 40 years had a camera and asked if I would like to try taking a photo - yes said I and promptly pulled an ear of corn from a nearby field, laid it on a rather old rotting piece of fencing, took the shot and at a later date he taught me how to print my own pictures in the darkroom. I was so thrilled with the result I then got my first very own camera - a second hand Praktica. The rest as they say is history, i still enjoy taking photographs, and, like my hubby, belong the UPP of Great Britain. Other than my photography I draw - mainly in pencil but I have just started to do a bit of water colour. It has to be said that the pencil drawings are far superior to the water colours - but time may help. I do feel that all the b/w printing has helped with the drawing, being able to tramslate colours into shades of grey and black. Who knows, one day I might just put a print into this if allowed.

Nine months on.....and still having the greatest fun, taking pics and best of all getting to know my buddies better and better. I have even met some of them, now that was fun :)))
So a big thankyou to all of you who have made me feel so welcome :))

you have so many beautiful pictures here, it will take me days to view and comment everyone I like so I just leave you this message here and keep looking at the pictures whenever I feel like viewing some really nice fotographs.

Listen i will second Mike there, you and a few others on this web have been an inspiration to me, your comments mean alot to a "Small Man" unqualified in the world of photography, tryin to make a few pound. We will miss you and your work. If you and the fella are planning to make a trip to the west of ireland, please do let me know, will have the batterys charged, the lenses cleaned and the flasks at the ready. My better half says on this, your last photo - "you are eather hanging upside-down or just bloody good with a camera" She likes it!
