Once I was standing in a subway station looking at a set of ancient photographs and there was one, taken a hundred years ago, showing a girl stepping into the pool of a long-forgotten spa. I looked at her limbs, barely shown under the bathing suit that was surely trendy in 1900 and felt the heat growing inside as I studied her face, bound by a spell that left only one question: what is this magic, how can I feel attracted to a woman whose bones must have turned to dust long ago? How could anything made her so eternal, so lively, that I could want her beauty even after a hundred years?
That was the moment when the magic of photography put a spell on me.

Found this gem while looking for some info on Wen P's behalf:

Private comment: to get to this level of creative alertness one probably has to spend a life in a zen-buddhist monastery... Actually I think the only pics coming even close to this are enso-circles. So, a toast to unsharpness.

Durch Zufall bin ich auf Deine beeindruckenden Fotos aus Armenien gestoßen. Lange habe nicht mehr solch gute Fotos in der fc gesehen, die sich auch inhaltlich noch mit etwas auseinandersetzen und zum nachdenken anregen.
Dann fand ich auch noch den Ordner über die vergessene und wohl auch unvollendete Revolution in Rumänien - sehr bewegend.
Werde Deine Foto nun weiterhin im Auge behalten. :-)

danke für deine Anmerkung zu . Langsam habe ich es nämlich satt, kritisiert zu werden wegen irgendwelcher Schärfen usw. Ich mach das zum Spaß an der Freude, ich bin kein Profi. ...und ich freu mich schon, wenn ich überhaupt solche Tiere vor die Linse kriege.

ja danke für die blumen zu meinem selbstportrait. das war wirklich abgefahren. die herbstsonne ist so schräg in den wald gefallen, dass ich auf jedem baum meine silouette sehen konnte. also keine montage.

danke für die Anmerkung zu meinem "Vandalismus unter Nachbarn"-Foto. Ich werde wohl keinen Krieg wegen dem Fahrrad beginnen. Die zwischenzeitlich eingeschlagene Autoscheibe und der gestohlene Radio wären da wohl schon eher Kriegsgründe... ;o)

thanks for your comment about my astro picture.
You have to "guide" the telescope for avoid the star shift during the long exposures caused by the spin of the Earth
Usually,in panoramic astrophotography, we have to put the camera in "parallel" to a telescope with an equatorial mount (much better if the mount is motorized),then we have to point the telescope's eyepiece (with a reticulum cross built in) toward a star in the camera's field of view..and to follow that star during the complete exposure , giving to the telescope the appropriate corrections by manual or electronic handbox for to keep the star in the exact centre of the eyepiece's reticulum
