I started taking pictures on 1976 when I bought my first Minolta (SRT 100b). After that I had many other Minolta cameras and lenses, and my gear today consists of two digital Sony´s (700 e 850).
My preference: portraits in B&W.

Dear Luiz, thank you so much for your gendle and detailed answer.
As a for more than 17 years teacher in highschool I've taught my younger students (apart from other courses) geography. In the context of this course I've mentioned many times the wealth of flora and fauna of this beautiful country called Brazil, a country that really deserves to be admired.
About the focal length lens you used to get your photo (in which I lefted my comment on) I must tell you that, in my opinion, it is worthy of great attention. Well, I was wondering if it is to be properly served by such a focal length (400 mm), a photographer who wants to capture birds with his camera. But both the exif data of the photo and your mail has given the right answer (the one I expected to be), he will.
About three days ago, I made an attempt to get a similar focal length lens and, therefore, dared to place an order for a similar piece of glass like yours (although not Sony branded, since I shoot Nikon). Right now, I'm in the process of waiting my new lens to come home and when that happens I'll try to see whether my expectations for a successful buy are correct or not (let us hope they are!). In the meantime, I guess I have to rely on my already existing equipment for my shootings...
