The word comes from the Greek words phos ("light"), and graphis ("stylus", "paintbrush") or graphκ, together meaning "drawing with light". So photography is not only the action of "capturing light" but also "manipulating light"... In my workflow 60% of the work is commited to the "shooting part" and the rest is left to the "digital process part" >> the creative & fun part which means level adj., (de)saturation adj., colour replacements, drawing and composing. No digital process, no digital image... for me. I shot mostly for fun (maybe not only) for about 4 years but get really d-slr involved since 2005 and I really enjoy... It seems that this is something very special for me... A compination of different aspects like getting in touch with pretty and interesting people, travelling, composing, drawing and manipulating images with use of high technological equipment... Thanks for visiting my portfolio hope you enjoy. And please, please, please me, with comment, comment, comment. And comment hard, no hard feelings anyway... Stay tuned, Petros. >~

hi petros!
thank you for stopping by my profile page...as you say, "stay tuned!" i like to put a couple of favorite images up now and then and change my bio by telling a new story. i'm also a writer... anyway, i'm so happy you like my profile photo!! (there's a funny story with that pic, but it's long and i don't want to take up your whole profile page!)
: ) you asked what software i used to create it: photoshop elements 4.0 mac & the track pad on my laptop...nothing fancy, i just got lucky! the design is just gradients and a couple of brushes. it's the color version of "Mes Yeux..." you alreadt saw that, but i'll put it up again. ; )
cheers!
