If technology will allow me to record my own music and create my own art, then I can make my own little world a happier place. My favorite subjects are figures and nature. But I have so much to learn! Thank you for letting me practice and learn here.
(And many thanks to Marie for graciously modelling in spite of my inexpert efforts!)

update (4 year anniversary at FC):
There seem to be two general types of photographic artists: those who seek to CAPTURE an outstanding image and those who seek to CREATE an outstanding image. The former work with spontaneous scenes of nature or people, and minimize the use of post-production editing; the later rely on posed situations and embrace the various editing techniques available.
In defense of photo-editing, let us recognize that a camera is just a tool in a process, and it can no more create a completed picture than a microphone can create a musical recording. And neither the picture nor the recording can actually reproduce what the brain perceives visually or sonically in the real world.
I confess to being an image creator, and my hobby is for my own enjoyment. My creations may not elicit the intended impressions of sensual beauty in the viewer, but the joy is in the effort.

6 year anniversary: no changes in philosophy; maybe a little better at taking pictures...
Some places beyond FC where my photo work has been published:
The Erotic Review's Photographer of the Year Prize 2008: The Book (paperback, ER Books)
The Erotic Review's Photographer of the Year Prize 2009: The Book (paperback, ER Books)

Eight year anniversary – for the past few years I have been exploring more overtly sexual aspects of erotic photography, along with my wonderful model, Marie and her partner, Lloyd. Because these images involve more explicit interplay of male and female energies, they do not appear in FC discussion (these images and commentaries are presented elsewhere).
However, I continue to follow my talented friends here at FC and post photos in the hope of learning and improving my skills. Peace and best wishes, MW.

Thanks for visiting!

Hi Mark,
Well, your entry under this photograph deserves the Gold Medal for Humorous & long Comments. As most of the responses to our photographs are in German I translate for my lovely model. Yours however she was able to enjoy in the Original. Thanks for your thoughts.

I could never agree more with the words of a man who seems to understand the reason why he needs/wants to shoot a photo or produce a complex of sounds. Is it because of your long time relative experiece (a continuous, neverending envolvement)? No matter that much. For your profile text is targeting so well to the point of the creative essence, Mr. Weaver.

Regards,
Enne See.

PS.: Some of your images are trully eye-catching (e.g. "Rocky Mountain Skyline" or "My World".)

Thanks for your comment to my Tottori Sand Dunes picture. In a certain sense you are right that "our Peeping Tom" was "Big Brother", I was pleased at how the authorities dealt with the matter.
In many respects where fighting crime is concerned I am all for Big Brother watching over us. Anyone about to be mugged would be glad to be on candid camera in the police station at the time. :)

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your recent comment. Just for your information, the image below, is a bit dark on purpose. I was almost sure that someone would find it a bit dark but what i wanted to show was the lighter part on her eyes. I had no light on this part but with some tricks i managed to lighten up her face. Imagine that this was even darker on the original. But still, i am happy that people like it even dark as it is.
Ohh i love experimenting... :)

Take care
Maria

Hello Mark,
Thanks for the comments on my photo. Port Canaveral is home to nine cruise ships, including Disney's Magic. Two gambling casino ships also call the port home. All in all, it's a neat place to live, with the space center just north of us, Cocoa Beach to the south, and Orlando's a 45 minutes drive to the west. And of course, there's always the ocean...

thanks and good to meet you!

Point taken about the shadow - I tried to keep out but because I use such a wide angle lens - and stand so close to the model it is not always possible to be invisible!

Thanks for your comments on "Feel Me", the previous version of this shot. The nude/fashion photographers of FC were very helpful with their critiques. I've toned down the light on her hat, arm and breast in this version and it feels less "split". Thanks for your comment.

Sorry about the STIFFness of the Model. If I could have revived her, the pose could have been more interesting but, in this media-Terracotta, there is no response to any form of stimulation!

Thankyou Mark for your very generous comment about my picture. I do enjoy taking the time to getting them right, but I'm still learning.

Your photos as well show very impressive experience and expression. Hope you have a good one. Cheers.

like you want to make the world happier..Somewhere in Le Petit Prince, Saint Exupery writes : it's useful because it's beautiful... it was about the man lightning and switching off the lights .. cheers Véronique

Hi Mark, thank you for your comments.
I should think they are like cats i'ts natural for them to go for a mouse given the chance.
What used to be our local airbase, they used raptors to keep the sky clear of the stray dicky birds before the planes took off. Catch twenty two for the poor creatures really, either talons or a jet aircraft air intake.
