A Scot living in Germany, I've enjoyed photography all my life. But it wasn't until I bought my Nikon Coolpix 885 that it turned into a real hobby.
Joined the fc in June 2004 and the tips and criticism from all my friends throughout the world have really helped me to learn.
When I upgraded to a Nikon D70 the fun turned to passion. I acquired a used D1X as a second body and, what with the tripod, lenses and filters, etc. I had to buy a huge backup for my expeditions:-)
Then the hobby-turned-passion turned obsession;-)
June 2007: The D70 went on strike during a shooting session the day before my holiday, so my wish for a D200 came true sooner than expected.
September 2007: I've learned so much here and met so many great people all over the globe, but unfortunately I have less time to be active - so forgive my long delays in replying or lack of comments.
Current Profile shot taken on top of Hoernle Mountain, Bavaria by my niece - a budding streetlife/people photographer!
Almost exactly two years in the fc and my first Gallery photo:-)))

One of the things I love about the fc is that we members can play an active role in how it develops. FC Sections that I've suggested over the years:

Good morning Kathryn,
as far as I can remember I thnk we were buddies the last time I was in the fc? Had a little break due to private issues.
Back now though and I wanted to thank you for your comments.
