i'm sixty years old with an extensive art backround. i was raised in a u.s. air force family and was born in southern california. i went to elementary and high school in japan and college in california. i began an abiding interest in photography in 1962 which continues today. i'm a retired businessman and now reside in gold beach, oregon which is just north of the california border on the rogue river. i am represented by a local art gallery and have had work in local art shows as well. my art interests are mostly in painting, drawing, wood carving, photography, and sculpture. my wish is to attain a blend of photography and my other art interests to attain an art form which is a combination of my skills at present......a homogenous blend that isn't one or the other. i'm a lover of garage band and like to unwind with my laptop and a bunch of loops. i love my home here in oregon after ten years and suppose that this was my last and final move. i spent four years in the air force from '69 to'73 which included a tour in viet nam and one in thailand. my politics tend toward the liberal.

Thanks for your comment on "Three for the price of one" but either I misunderstand what you meant, or maybe you interpreted the photo wrong... but you stated "... all images work well together and look as if they are tripletts!"

The photo is actually a single exposure. When the model went into a new pose, I would use the flash to illuminate her. Did it three times and that's what I ended up with.

After that I took the RAW file and split it into three separate images with varying EV levels (-1, 0, +1). Last I used Photomatix to do an HDR tonemap on the recombined image... and there you have it :)

I'm certainly glad you liked the photo though... and thanks for the kind words you left...

Cheers,
Stephen
