Hello Aidan! Very nice portfolio! Lot`s of really nice pictures!. I`ve started my photography journey very short time ago. I got Canon 400D with kit lens from the auction and my adventure began! I thinks it is really great camera to start with. It can shot incredible photos and gives a wide space to learn about the photography.
Keep up the great work! I see pasion for seeing in your photos and thats all that counts!

I am glad you like Aiden,I am not so bad near me because the is a fair bit of woodland.So it's just a case of finding that right image.

Concerning the camera, i would say that all the entry SLR models of all manufacturers can cover our needs.
In case of a compact one, you have to choose the right lens (according to your needs) and take care the level of the noise of the sensor (to be as less is possible) and the settings of the camera to give some freedom to the user (not only automatic programs)
I hope that i help you a bit and i wish you shot the photos of your dreams.

Thank you for your comment to my picture.
I would consider myself as a "starter". I have since a few weeks a SONY, Super SteadyShot, 2.5 " LCD Monitor with 12x zoom. I am VERY happy with this camera.
