Dear Pahaphist,
I wish you a merry Christmas and a very healthful and happy new year 2009. Thanks for your friendship and nice comments on my pictures.

I hope we can continue our friendship and share our pictures also in 2009.
Best regards, Gert

Hi Pahsophist,
Thank you for your comment, the Dam is actually at lake Overholser in Oklahoma City. My other lake pic's are also from there. Again Thanks.

Hello Pahsophist, did you know that many kinds of our plants are in the Missouri Botanical Garden?
Ask about plants from Peru... and if you like them take some photos and show them.
Perhaps your Spanish is better than my English...

I am an artist, but a true photography novice. I'm sure if it weren't for "digital" photography, I wouldn't be an aspiring photographer at all. But thanks to technology, I can take my photos and I don't need a dark room or quite as much dedication.

It is only within this past, oh, six months that I've gotten interested in photography. At present, I do not have a professional grade camera (you should see the number of photos I delete due to poor shutter speed, automated focus, obnoxious flash, etc.). Right now, it's just a plain ol' Casio Exilim. Hopefully one day in the not-so-far-away future, I will have the money to upgrade to a better camera. For now, I work with what I've got.

Currently, I take photos of my local St. Louis. So there tends to be quite a few from the Forest Park/Botanical Gardens area, because I consider those some of the most beautiful places in St. Louis. But as I travel more, move around, I'm sure my subject matter will expand.
