Even though I have been involved in photography for thirty years I still consider myself an amateur. Albet maybe a bit more advanced than most. My early training involved film photography and quite a bit of black and white darkroom work. But I think those early days gave me a leg up in the transition to digital by already having a good understanding of the basics. I have to admit that I was somewhat skeptical of the digital medium at first. I did not think it would measure up to film. Happily I was wrong. And now I do not think I would go back except to draw upon my experiences of it.

I throughly enjoy the feedback and comments of other photographers. Even though I am probably my own worst critic, I hope to progress through the opinions of others.

Yes - both of us photogrph in a similar way... the picture is created in our mind....the rest is a struggle with the technic
