I've been an amateur photographer all of my adult life, shooting with various digital equipment since 2003. Currently I use a Canon 400D (aka XTI or "Kiss"), with various Canon, Tamron, and Tokina lenses.
Everything in the natural world interests me. As subjects for photography, so do beautiful, or unusual, or unexpected forms and patterns in man-made things appeal.
Although my fc homepage is in the English part of fotocommunity, I have a usable reading knowledge of German. If you prefer to write to me in that language, that's fine as long as you don't use too many abbreviations for technical terms or too many colloquialisms. (Unfortunately I won't be able to reply in German.) I'll try to keep my own photo descriptions and comments free of similar English usages.
Please offer all of the constructive criticism you think would help me improve as a photographer - with one exception. I always pay attention to the leveling of the horizon in my landscapes. If you think I didn't do it correctly, it's either because I chose not to, or because the true level isn't easy to discern from the picture itself, and is therefore a matter of taste. Praise is appreciated, but not required. While I do want to discover what aspects of my photos might appeal to a larger audience, even more do I want to learn what things need improvement, and what things to stop doing altogether.
