Hi everyone,
I'm new to digital photography, and viewing all your wonderful photos on this site has inspired me to upload some of my meagre efforts.
My interest in photography started in 1960 when my Father gave me my first camera - a 1939 Kodak Baby Brownie, which my Grandfather had given him. Although my career was as an engineer photography played a large part: used in the planning of machine installations, and later for accident investigation - what is now termed as forensic photography. As I was camera mad my hobby also was photography, and in my spare time (having a UK Press Card) I worked as a freelance paparazzo.
Sadly, due to an accident of my own at work, I'm now disabled. My SLR systems were too heavy and had to go, leaving me with my trusty Leica IIIf, and last year I ventured into the digital world. I'm now mainly housebound, so I will really appreciate contact with others in the community - both to comment on my photographs, and for social reasons.

Thanks for commenting... Photography is just my hobby, but I love it. Everyone says my photos are good but I have so much i can do to digital photos that I tend to over edit some of them. I catch myself having to reexamine what I do. I'm getting better at it though.

Hi John, i don't have photoshop but i will by the end of the week, i have iphoto by mac and it is lousy. i have an olympus also, my son is bringing me a cannon rebel2 whatever that is. He is a professional photographer and i am not. he is also bringing me an adobe photoshop. i will check out what you told me then. i hope it works. thanks, Ruth
