Uploading photos

How to upload:

Uploading pictures into your fotocommunity account is very simple and requires just a few actions: -

1. After logging into fotocommunity you will be taken to your "myPics"-screen - your account site on fotocommunity.com. From there, just click on the ‘upload’ tab in the top right corner

2. The next page gives you the opportunity to select a channel and a section where you want your photo to be shown in fotocommunity. You also can decide to upload into your fotohome (if available - basic members and higher accounts) with or without being shown in the public areas of fotocommunity.

Another important feature is the double file size which gives you the opportunity to upload files with a size up to 300 kb. Please remember that activation this function will "cost" you two uploads!!!

You can check your "double uploads" by searching two little squares besides the title of your photo in the myPics screen:

PLEASE BE AWARE that the upload limits for photos at fotocommunity are 1000x1000 pix max and (!) a filesize under 150 kb (for single uploads) or under 300 kb (for double uploads)!

This means: The file on your harddisk must not extend these limitations or the automatic compression will work on your photo which might result in quality losses!

After doing your selections click upload file to start the upload. Depending on your internet connection the upload can take a few seconds. When it's done you will automaticly be brought to the section you choosed and can see your photo there.

Please be aware that there is a special upload feature for Panoramas!
