Policies towards advertising

The topic was discussed intense and we can see the problems with advertising very well. Therefore we had to make some rules regarding advertising.

These rules become effective at once and have to be obtained 'til further notice (for example an own site for advertising within fotocommunity).

Fotocommunity offers a site to hobby-photographers which don't take photographs commercial. Therefore advertising in fotocommunity is limited and only allowed at the places we opened for commercial offers.

Allowed is/are:

• workshops as long as they are entered into the calender

• new: Having the link to your homepage within the photo, title or describtion as long as there is nothing to buy on your homepage. All HPs with pay-offers are regarded as "advertisement". (Photos which contain links to such "advertisement" homepages will be deactivated.)

Not allowed is/are:

• advertisement in forums

• photos with advertisement text

• new: As long as we don't provide the proper space for commercial advertisement for your (commercial)homepage, we will tolerate to have your "commercial-photo-homepage" linked in your photographers profile. Commercial links in the photos or in the title/describtion are prohibited (photos will be deleted).
