Nordic Light

International Photo Festival in Kristiansund/ Norway

August 26th - September 2nd 2006

With the wellknown Norwegian photographer Morten Krogvold (http://www.mortenkrogvold.com) as "Primus motor" the first international Photo-Festival in the nordic countries will take place in Kristiansund this year!

Nordic Light will offer something for everybody - beginners, advanced amateurs and professionals will find exciting possibilities here. Also film, theater and other artforms will be represented. Lots of exhibitions, workshop and lectures will be offered in addition to a widespread cultural program with music and -off course- the possibility to meet colleagues.

James Nachtwey (http://www.jamesnachtwey.com/) will be here with an exhibition and mentor-meetings, as well as Alex Webb, Martin Parr, Arno Minkkinen and others! Check our Festival-homepage (http://www.nle.no/?div_id=1&pag_id=1) for the program!

Fotocommunity is a partner of this festival and will off course be represented there, too! We are working on a workshop with Andy Pomplun (http://www.fotocommunity.com/pc/account/myprofile/21898) during those days, other activities will be announced later...

The city of Kristiansund is located on 4 islands at the Norwegian coast with maritime flair, not far from the mountains, in exciting surroundings. Plenty of possibilities for photo'excursions, which off course also shall be a part of the festival.

To summarize: Those days promise to be really exciting! Why not combine them with some holidays in Norway? Or maybe a tour with the "Hurtigruten" (Norwegian Coastal Voyage) which comes to the town daily...
