History

The fotocommunity was established at the beginning of 2001 by hobby photographer, Andreas Meyer, located in Bonn, Germany. He used his ten year working experience in the field of the 'New Economy' to turn his hobby into his profession.

Meanwhile, Andreas Meyer is working steadily with the cooperation and support of several freelance and corporate partners on the development of this online service.

Within a very short time period, the fotocommunity has grown to become the most widespread and active community on the subject of amateur photography in Europe and it's a permanent and stable part of the internet.
