Send a fotomail to a buddy

You can send a fotomail to every photographer on your buddy-list. I doesn't matter if it is your photo or another persons one. Herewith you can drag your friends attention to every photo you want to, just by sending it to them.

The fotomail contains personal text and the photo you want to send (including all comments).

To write a photomail just click . It is located in the information below every photo you can see in fotocommunity.

A window will open where you can select the receiver of the message (usually the photographer is filled in automaticly).

Just type in the message and press "send fotomail now". If you want to know if the receiver opened your fotomail, you can check "Email-notification, when fotomail was read". You'll receive a confirmation via email.

Send a fotomail to an email-address

You can send a fotomail to every email-address if the recipient is not on your buddy-list or is not a member of fotocommunity.

The procedure is the same as writing to a buddy exept that you have to fill out the form (name and email-address) of the recipient.

You also can activate the automatic notification funktion here, it will work.

The recipient will receive a mail containg a personal link which brings him to your fotomail in fotocommunity. The link is protected by a code making sure that a third party won't be able to open the fotomail.

How to read, answer and delete fotomails

If you received an internal fotomail the Mypicsbutton and the icon for fotomails start to blink yellow.

If you click either one of them you'll be led to the fotomail-section where all your fotomails are stored descending by receiving date. A blinking yellow dot besides the thumbs indicate new fotomails or non-read-ones.

You could delete the mail immediately by checking the refering box.

To open the fotomail just click the thumb and you'll see the photo, the message and the comments to the photo.

Now you have the options to delete or reply the message. If you reply the "write a fotomail"-window will open with the same photo and the recipient will be filled in automaticly, even if he's not on your buddylist.

If you'd like to answer with another photo you have to do the procedure as if you'd write a new fotomail (shown above).
