Registration
To post your photos at the fotocommunity, you first need to register. Click on the login button  on the upper right hand side of the screen. The next window you see is divided into two areas. The top part is for members already registered with the community. The bottom part is reserved for first time users to register. Hit the button "register now for free".
Registration takes about two minutes.
To register you need to enter your name, your email address and a personal password. All other personal details are voluntary. Nicknames or aliases may be used within the terms of use within the fotocommunity. We request you to register using your correct given name. After your registration is complete you are welcome to change your name to a pseudonym anytime afterwards. You have to register with a first and a second name. That's the only way for us to differenciate between all the photographers registered here.
You will always need your email address and your password to login to the fotocommunity. After registration your email address will be verified and you will immediately receive an email with a link. After replying to this encoded link you will be activated as a trial member. Your email address will always remain invisible to all other guests and members of the fotocommuniy.
Writing your first comment
Comments can be written unter every photographer's profile and of course under every photo. To write a comment you have to move to a photo and click on
at the bottom of the page while being logged in.
A new window opens:
Here you can add your remarks to the white area of the window and then hit Publish. Your comment can then be seen under the photo and your name is published right below it. You have to be logged in to be able to publish a comment. If you'd like to change or delete a comment hit the edit button  next to your name where your comment is located. Change your text and then hit the Update/Delete button.
Uploading your first entry into the discussion
To upload your first photo, hit the upload button  in the navigation bar on the upper right hand side of your screen.
To upload a picture you don't need much of a technical background or knowledge. The only prerequisite is a digital photo located on your hard disk or cd-rom that doesn't exceed 500kb.
