E-mail settings

In this menu you can alter the important settings regarding e-mails and messages from fotocommunity. There are 4 areas which are explained below. To access the options menu click the proper link in the "myPics" screen:

General email notifications

If you check the Notification box you'll receive every comment to your photos and the profile entrys via e-mail.

Private Message means that there will be shown a link in your profile which says "send me a private message". If you check this box other users can send you a private message via e-mail which you can answer. Your e-mail address won't be given to the user and only if you answer via e-mail he'll get it.

Email-Newsletter

There is a newsletter which explains some of the technical issues of fotocommuniy, it's features and new activities. If you want to receive this newsletter you should check the fc International News box.

The checkbox fc International Specials lets you receive a newsletter with offers from the photography industry exclusive for fotocommunity members. This newsletter is issued not more than three times a month.

User meetings & Dates

Here you can choose if you want to be informed about New Dates. This informations can concern Usermeetigns or regulars' tables which are entered from others into the usercalendar. Please check the zipcode of the area you want to be informed about.

In addition you can select the kind of news you want to receive regarding that dates: every message, only the messages of the organisators or none. Please check the accordant box at Calendar-News.

Security & Privacy

The Gallery area lets you select whether you want to have your photos recommendable for the gallery or not.

You can select the general settings regarding your photos being proposable for the gallery. There is the option to release all your photos for proposals, none of them or a chance to decide on every individual photo.

In the section voting comments you decide whether people can leave comments within the voting or not.

If you set Online status on "Show my online status" other users can see if you are right now. If you are not or if you check "Hide my online status" they see you the whole time.

The Auto-Login gives you various choices regarding you login preferences. It's self-explaining.

The Quick-Mailsettings show if you receive QMs immediately by a popup-window or whenever you want by manually open them. More information regarding QMs here (http://www.fotocommunity.com/info/Quickmails).

Confirm your changes

You need to confirm your changes to make them work. If you don't you have to go through every step again.
