Basic rules

Living in a community - even if it is a virtual one - makes it necessary to install some basic rules to manage the cooperation of users.

fotocommunity is no exception and there are some things we want to publish here which describe our communities basic rules:

Table of contents

Terms of use

Most basic things are written down in the Terms of use (http://www.fotocommunity.com/pc/pc/kontakt/agb). You accepted those rules when you subscribed to fotocommunity for the first time. The Terms of use (http://www.fotocommunity.com/pc/pc/kontakt/agb) are the backbone of our common interaction in this community.

Privacy of correspondence

Pricacy is one of our ethical values and we won't publish any of your private data or correspondence!

In return we expect the same behaviour from our users, so please do not publish correspondence you received from fotocommuniy or other users.

This private correspondence could be:

- mails from fotocommunity-support

- mails, quickmessages or fotomails with official fotocommunity administration content

- mails, quickmessages or fotomails from other users

What to do if you see that your correspondence is published or if you receive private correspondece from other members?

If you see your correspondence in public or if somebody is annoying you with one of the communitys communication tools, make screenshots of it and report this as an "admin-case" to support. We will take adequate measures.

Basic procedures

For a better understanding on how we (administration) handle things I will describe some basic procedures:

We act on our own and at once for these cases:

Nudes in wrong area

- a photo was uploaded into another channel than the nude channel

-- deactivation of the photo
-- mail to the photographer (reminder on our terms of use)

We can't allow nude photos of childreen in all areas of fotocommunity.com!!!

Copyright violations

- a photo appears to violate copyright laws

-- deactivation of the photo
-- mail to the photographer (request to proof the rights of use)

Publishing of private or official messages

- mails from fotocommunity support or private mails were published

-- deactivation of the publication
-- mail to the publisher (reminder on our terms of use)

Offences against Terms of use (http://www.fotocommunity.com/pc/pc/kontakt/agb)

- there is an offence against our Terms of use (http://www.fotocommunity.com/pc/pc/kontakt/agb) in a public area of fotocommunity

-- deactivation (photo, thread, posting, profileentry, comment,...)
-- mail to the publisher

Please be aware that we can't accept any gesture or symbol in
relation to national socialism. Our servers are hosted in Germany
and so we have to and will obtain German law which forbids these
things. We will deactivate in any case because we are no skilled
advocats and always will choose a "sure" way to protect the
community and the operator of this community!

Guns on photos

-- deactivation (photo, thread, posting, profileentry, comment,...)
-- mail to the publisher

We won't accept guns being directed on third persons or straigt into
into the lens of the photographer.

We act on request by users

- when being informed about one of the topics above

-- same procedures as shown above

- after being contacted via support (i.e. regarding offences)

-- here we see ourselves as referees after the communication
between users didn't come to a peaceful conclusion.

Discussions between users sometimes are held on an emotional
basis and we try to figure out what the (objective) right
decission in this community's spirit is. Usually we discuss these
things as a team so that there is no decission made by only one
   person (admin/cm).

Please remember that our decission might be contrary to what you
personally might have accepted. Like in real life you still have
the right to complain, and we will reconsider our decission if
there are facts we didn't think of, but if we came to a final
decission we will state it and won't change it afterwards.

FOR WHATEVER IS NOT DEFINED IN THE TERMS OF USE OR BASIC RULES THE ADMINISTRATION TEAM WILL DECIDE.
