Hi,
I've found that some of the photos that I underexpose by one stop [say F8] have a white tone all over it.... When I check the negative the white area on the print is blank on the negative. In fact some details that I can see on the negative are missing in the print in some picture. Can this be a printing error?

HI... If you're working with Black and White film... you could try using the zone system... where zone 5 is grey zone 1 is black and zone 10 white... you take a reading (zone 5)and then one for your highlights, by placing your your first reading in either zone 1 or 2... you can under or over develop your film to place your hightlights in the aera you want...
