I received your private message and decided to respond back in your forum post. I really am not that involved in that side of photography. It is a hard business to get into and make a living at from what I have read.
As far as exhibiting your images getting involved with a local camera club may expose you to local photo exhibits, competitions and networking opportunities that can help you realize your goals. It could also lead to some sales.
As far as selling your images you could do an internet search of photo stock agencies, but read the terms carefully and choose one that you feel fits your needs.
You may also want to check with some local merchants, art and gift shops, in the tourist areas where they can display your images for sale. You may have to leave your images there and get paid a percentage when one sells.
Hopefully you will find photography to be the easy part of the business, the hard part for any artist or business for that matter is to find creative ways to market yourself that sets you apart from the crowd.
As I stated earlier I really do not have any first hand experience in this area of the photography business but hopefully someone experienced in this area will respond and be able to get you started in the right direction.
Good Luck !
