In addition, exposure compensation can’t spot all kind of exposure problems like if you want a dark subject and a bright background, it can’t help you. But it is very effective for other techniques like high dynamic range compositing or fill flash. If you want to take exposure into your own hands, exposure compensation is the easiest way to do that.
