Help please with taking indoor pics on New Nikon Coolpix L21

Hi All
Just to start with I am a novice lol
I have just been bought a Nikon Coolpix L21 digital camera, I was trying it out indoors last night, and found that my photos were coming out quite orange. I was using the auto mode. Has anyone got any ideas please?

I think I`ve answered my own question now, I have a red tiled floor, and I think that the flash bounced off it and reflected back, thus making the photo look orange. Does this make sense?
