I use Kodak Portra 160 (NC or VC, depends on the subject) negative film (35mm). This film gives very natural looking colors and a good representation of skin tones.
I would like to use Fuji Velvia for some landscaping photography because of it's dramatic color saturation. Until now the higher cost for professional quality prints from slides has kept me from using slide film. I might buy a new scanner and digitize the slides myself.

Hi John, this is exactly the response I like to see. You might be able to answer my question: could you give me an idea about the difference between velvia and provia. Does provia have that same deep color saturation or is it for a different use?

T-MAX 3200
T-MAX 3200
T max 400 my fave :)
T-MAX 400 and T-MAX 3200, i love useing and i love tech pan to and try roll my film then buying it films in supermarket.
Tri X, hand doped in ID11, gives a lovely tonal range.
Fuji reala 100 is the one good film which I only can find in one shop in my city. Kodak portra still staying as a dream. Slide films is not possible - cost of development cost 10 dollars. So for this money i prefere to buy few reala`s.
Can anybody say something about b/w films which can be developed not by hands but only with a c-41 process ?
thanks..
