I love Canon, but I have to say that the new Olympus(Pen), similar to the old Olympus analogue is a great way to go, considering that it will take quite a few different lenses including Nikon with adaptors, and the price is excellent. It's a great camera for doing reporatge on the street, where you want something light to carry around.
but it all depends on what you want to shoot and how much you are prepared to spend. The new Leica S2 will set you back more than the price of a car!

Hello Kitty Camera

The camera is cute, but that's about it. Feels and looks very cheap. Controls are not user-friendly, especially for a child. You lose any/all pictures on the camera if you have to change the batteries. Display screen on back is useless. Pictures are very low res.
