Some great Canon 7D photos
I helped Ole Jørgen Liodden testing Canon 7D a couple of days ago. We just had the camera for 4 hours but Ole shot some pretty good photos where he really put the autofocus to the test. I have to say we where both impressed by the camera.

Personally I will still use 5D Mark II since I rarely need the speed but if you need fast autofocus and many frames per seconds, then this camera has to be great. I also think it's even more intuitive and better to handle than the 5D II.

Somehow i only think you are comparing apples to pears.
The 5DMkII is a full frame camera, while the new 7D is an APS-c

Yes, personally I rather have a full frame camera and higher resolution. I think the ISO performance is similar. It have a smaller sensor but the sensor is newer and lower resolution so I guess that's the reason.
When it comes to speed both with regards to AF and frames per second, then 7D seems like the best option to me. Personally I don't need the speed and I don't think most others do either. However, for wildlife at high speed, sport photographers etc, I believe 7D is a better choice or at least a great second camera.
