Dear All,

I have a nice metz and i want to convert it to a studio flash light to take it with me on locations.

I know its possible ( i heard) but i don't know what extra equipment i need. For example, i am sure i need a tripod, an umbrella and a wireless remote wizard to trigger it. But is that all i need? don't i need anything extra??

Anyone out there who can help?? Ideally i would like to buy these things this week to be ready for my sunday shot.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Maria

Maria. you need to go to a reputable website dedicated to photography. look for lighting accessories and buy a lighting stand, not a tripod, but with a holder that will accept your flash. You can connect the flash with a cable direct to your camera, or, depending the your Flash, set it to Slave and it may fire from your on camera flash.

More important, buy a holder that will accept an umbrella that you can bounce the flash into or through.

What you mean to do is known as "strobist" the use of on camera flash for studio purposes.

If you search the internet for strobist you will find lots of info.

In Holland you can find all you need here:

http://www.cameranu.nl just look under "strobist"
