Lighting equipment in the US
Due to weak dollar, lighting equipment, which is cheaper in the US, is even cheaper now.
I have the opportunity of buying some gear from BH in New York. Taxes paid, it's still
around 35% less than price in euro.
Would you go for it — knowing that warranty applies worldwide for gear considered ?
I'm quite tempted (I bought from BH before and they're pretty serious with foreign customers too).
Thanks for your input.

Hi, Andy,
In fact, comparison done in every single details,
difference is not so huge : a few hundred euros.
For that kind of serious investment, it might not
be a (so) good idea.
That said, the Profoto rep told me warranty
applied, wherever you bought the equipment.

Hi Stan,
I've bought different new and used items in the US at B&H and KEH ( www.keh.com ). KEH is more focussed on used gear but as a company has a similar reputation as B&H. Their prices are more attractive and warrenty is OK. My experiences have been very good so far.
Be aware when you purchase lighting equipment in the US that it's probably for 115Vac only. You will have to use something to bring the voltage down. And check that you are not surprised with 25% import duty in your country like I once had here in the Netherlands. Besides that, I would go for it.
