Third Party Lenses for D90?
Tam Ulriis

Hi,
Chinon has used the K-mount (Pentax), the older ones M42-mount. Nikon has their own bajonett, the F-mount.
As far as I know there is no satisfying solution to adapt a K-lense at a Nikon. For M42-lenses adapters are available (quite cheap), but you get problems by focussing on long distances caused by an incorrect distance between the lense and the sensor.
My advice: If the lenses have a K-mount, sell them to a Pentax or Samsung user.....
I do not know the lenses. In general old fixed focal length lenses provide very often a surprising good quality, but I would not give a commitment!

Studio Lighting

There's quite many of them actually, cheap is Falcon Eyes, but often not very well adapted for heavier use, the company i work for sells Visico, which gives good value for money,

I use myself a small Multiblitz set of 2x 200w/s + 1 visico head of 320 w/s

Sony / Minolta lenses
Jaap Koer

The only differences are ADi (as already said), HSM motor, and old xi motor powered zooms get all needed power from camera body.
Almost all 5 contacts lenses will work perfectly with new alpha bodies, excluding some old Sigma lenses...

Take the shine off chrome
Mark London

Hello! Anybody out there who can suggest what I can use to prevent glare from the shiny parts of a motorcycle engine when I attempt a studio shoot? I suspect there is some kind of powder one can apply to dull down and prevent reflection from lights? Is it a special powder or is there something simple one can use- like talcum powder?

Anthony Harris

I learned on my own that you once go Mac you will forever stay mac !
Sounds a litlle bit comerciali but the funny thing is that you get a mac open it and work it. instead of that you buy a pc .. you buy some software... you buy buy buy...ah...almost forgot..install plugins, adons, patches and etc... and you start working...
if the price is not a problem.. get a mac...you'll be thanking your self ...
Best wishes !
